Camping

You will camp with your church group. We automatically allocate a modest amount of camping space to everyone who books into Ashburnham. A few weeks before the event, we get in touch with every Church Coordinator to let them know the total amount of camping space allocated to their church group, with a map of their group’s camping area. Your Church Coordinator has the slightly daunting task of planning out your church group’s site and will let you know where you can pitch your tent.

If you choose to serve at the event you will still camp with your church group.
If you have any additional needs or access issues, you can choose to camp in an accessible portion of the South Lawn, closer to a pathway and the main marquees. This does mean that you will not camp with your church group. Please tell us when you book in, in the question about additional needs. Speak to your Coordinator for more help.
Yes, as long as your Church Coordinator can accommodate you on your church plot. Unfortunately we cannot provide electrical hook ups. There will be sluice points next to the toilets blocks.
Yes, but you will not be permitted to drive it on and off site during the event.

Hiring Camping Equipment for Ashburnham 2019

This year, New Ground has teamed up with Contented Camping, based in Robertsbridge, West Sussex. If you’d like to hire camping equipment they have a large selection of kit available including airbeam tents. Please visit their website to see what’s available.

You need to contact them directly either by email at enquiry@contentedcamping.co.uk or by phone on 07809 368 288. However you contact them, be sure to tell them that you’re hiring for New Ground’s Ashburnham 2019 event.

Contented Camping will deliver everything to site on the Friday morning, and will collect everything again on the Monday afternoon. Your order will be waiting for you at the Centrum Marquee, where the Information Point is. Instructions on where to return it on Monday will be given to you when you collect. If it is raining when you pack down your tent, just roll it up neatly and it will be taken away and dried.
